Anna Yang (she/they) is an interdisciplinary writer who specializes in poetry and prose. Loss of youth, adolescent ghosts, and queer angst are themes that perpetually haunt her work, focusing on the love that suffocates and saves, the bonds that keep you tethered, and the roots that burgeon between cracked concrete, present and persistent despite it all. Recently, Anna has begun to explore mediations between text and image through comics, graphic design, and printmaking.
She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from OCADU and will be pursuing her Master of Arts in Early Childhood Studies at TMU beginning Fall 2025.
Until then, you can find her on the streets of Toronto, Ontario waxing poetic for adults who still feel seventeen and petitioning for the general public to bring back yearning.
